As a typical high school football player, you’re a little scattered when it comes to your hectic weekly schedule. Your mom got you the organizer and you’re pretty sure you left that on the bus last Thursday. Whoops. You’re pretty sure you have a quiz tomorrow and didn’t coach say something about a game change to Wednesday because of the holiday. That’s not good. You don’t want to call your friends because they always give you grief for being late or just plain being absent. So what’s the call. That’s easy…just pull up maxPreps.com and drill down to your school’s football schedule. The change has been made in the system. Now if only they could help you with the quiz tomorrow on sines and cosines. There are limits to even maxPreps.com ability to organize your sports life.

When you typically think of needs for high school athletes, various forms of gear, balls, and clothing come to mind. Maybe a ball here or a la crosse stick there but increasingly, another tool for high school players is online in the form of Max Preps. It’s becoming increasingly useful, almost a necessity for any athlete out there for a lot of reasons. Let’s take a look at how maxpreps.com is becoming the online coach, scheduler, and guide for sports.

At prepSportFantasy.com, we’re all about the fun of sports but even we appreciate what MaxPrep does for high school athletes. When you arrive at the home page, you’ll see that the information is easily accessible by school, state, and/or sport. Usually, a player will find his/her school to get to the meat and bones of the site. Probably the most heavily used and incredibly useful section of the site is the sports schedule. You’ll find the when, where, and who for your school and particular sport. For a young teenager, this is a very valuable tool with busy school lives and schedules. You can even look at the season’s past to find scores, stats, and further detail. Drilling into the team’s information, you will generally find the entire (or almost all) team roster. Statistics can also be obtained for individual players which is pretty cool if you’re on the team. Now, any high school player can be a rock star!

The site goes one better in that statistical leaders can be viewed by school, by state, and even nationwide. You’re freakishly good at getting interception?? Guess…what, you’ll now have a nationwide stage to shine on. Recruiters love having access to this information because they can now see statistically, who the leaders are by almost any category they want. If you’re a college recruiter, that’s some pretty serious stuff and you’re in heaven at maxpreps.com

You’ll also find pictures, videos, and articles of high school sports events and players for your school. So how does maxPreps.com get a hold of all this information for the 1000’s of high schools in the U.S.? The stats are essentially provided communally from the schools, coaches, and/or local communities. maxPreps.com has even added electronic stats collection (even with an Apple App) to facilitate this process. It’s a system that works for everyone and that’s why we see maxpreps.com continuing to be a strong partner with high school athletes across the U.S.
